:: Random Item—Shuriken of Twilight ::

Morgan had studied in the Temple of Hibernation for a time, learning martial arts like her mentor, Master Chandra. But only after Chandra met her death in the jaws of a jealous Ajagara did Morgan come to discover her true destiny; that of a medium—a connecting link to the world of spirits.

When Morgan was most vulnerable, and ready to end her own life for grief, Chandra appeared to her across the Mortal Divide and charged her to remain in the world of the living, for she had a mission for her to fulfill in service of the Dark. Yes, Chandra's spirit confessed that she had secretly been a worshiper of the personification of the Darkness that filled the Temple of Hibernation once all the candles were snuffed—indeed, the same Darkness that filled whole world, especially on the nights of a new moon.

The task Chandra gave Morgan was simple: bring shadow into the day, and spread abroad the influence of the Dark. Only then could Chandra—yes, and other long-since perished high priestesses of the Dark—emerge into the gloom of the living world, and there bring to pass their Master's will.

Morgan obeyed, and dedicated herself to the shamanic path. In time, she traveled south, into the Ranai Forest, where she found the hollowed corpse of a hawthorn tree, ancient and gnarled by the desiccating rays of the sun. Blessing the tree at twilight on the night of a full moon, Morgan dedicated it to the Dark and hewed it into 7 discs. These she crafted into 7 wide shuriken, each imbued with the blessing of that night and the power to carry the twilight with them wherever they were cast.

There are some who say Morgan traveled east from the Ranai Forest, chasing the setting sun, ever vigilant to follow the twilight that blankets the sky each night. Some say the spirits of the dead follow after her. And those who say they have seen them are lying, for the Dark never reveals its secrets.
